OUR COMMITMENT TO PRIVACY

GlobeTek Select Inc. and its subsidiaries (each, a " GlobeTek Select Inc. company") are committed to controlling the collection, use and disclosure of the personal information provided by its customers.

GlobeTek Select Inc. may share your Personally Identifiable Information with member providers that perform specific services or functions on our behalf. We only share information about lodging reserved with GlobeTek Select Inc. Our accommodation providers need information about your profile, as well as your credit card information, in order to process and confirm your accommodation reservation. Any Personally Identifiable Information you provide to us will be used for your purchases and retained in hard copy form of the original invoice as well as within our database system, which generates our invoices. This Privacy Statement of the GlobeTek Select Inc. Privacy Policy is adopted by each of the GlobeTek Select Inc. companies to ensure the accuracy, confidentiality and integrity of your personal information.

The GlobeTek Select Inc. Privacy Policy is modeled after the Canadian Standards Association Model Code for the Protection of Personal Information and is compliant with federal and provincial privacy laws including the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act. A SINGLE POLICY

The GlobeTek Select Inc. Companies referred to in this Privacy Statement and governed by the GlobeTek Select Inc. Privacy Policy include GlobeTek Select Inc. Selectaccommodations.com, Selectaccom.com, Chaletselect.com, bbselect.com and associated websites owned and operated by GlobeTek Select Inc.

Any time you do business with a GlobeTek Select Inc. Company, or with anyone acting as an agent on our behalf, you are protected by the rights and safeguards contained in the GlobeTek Select Inc. Privacy Policy.

WHAT IS PERSONAL INFORMATION?

"Personal information" is personally identifiable information such as your name, residential address and e-mail address and includes information about your product and service subscriptions and usage, credit card information and billing records, service and recorded complaints.

Personal information is collected by the GlobeTek Select Inc. Companies only when you specifically and knowingly choose to provide it to us such as when you subscribe to a GlobeTek Select Inc. service, enter a GlobeTek Select Inc. promotion or choose to receive information, products, or services from a member accommodation provider(s), or services from a GlobeTek Select Inc. Company.

Publicly available information, such as a public directory listing of your rental property, is not considered personal information.

COLLECTION AND USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

The GlobeTek Select Inc. Companies collect and use your personal identifiable information (such as name, contact and billing information, credit card, and other transaction information) is primarily for the purpose of providing you with products and services you have requested from us, including reservation service from member accommodation providers, consultation, marketing and related content through GlobeTek Select Inc. online properties. GlobeTek Select Inc. may use this information to deliver your confirmation, process payment and to communicate with you about the status of your inquiry or reservation. Credit card information submitted with your inquiry is used only for payment processing and is not retained on our Site.

Your personal information is used to communicate with you about your account and to provide you with information related to other GlobeTek Select Inc websites publications and services. If you indicated that you were interested in receiving offers or information from selected GlobeTek Select Inc sponsors or advertisers, your personal information would also be used to contact you or to send you e-mail materials and other mailings about products and services that might be of interest to you. You always have the option, however, to tell us not to share your personal information with other GlobeTek Select Inc Companies, members or to exclude you from offers for other products or services.

If you enter a contest or other promotion offered by a GlobeTek Select Inc. Company or on a GlobeTek Select Inc. website, your personal information will be used to administer the promotion, including the use of your name and selected other information for the purposes of contacting, announcing and promoting the winners of the promotion.

The GlobeTek Select Inc. Companies may also contact you from time to time to conduct market research and surveys in an effort to continually improve our product and service offerings.

We will seek your prior consent to the collection, use and disclosure of the information as required by applicable privacy legislation. To enable us to more efficiently provide the products and services you have requested from us, the GlobeTek Select Inc. Companies may share your personal information with other GlobeTek Select Inc. Companies and with selected third parties who are acting on our behalf as our agents, suppliers or service providers. Such third party service providers, accommodations, vacation rental establishments, are provided only with such information as is necessary in the circumstances (i.e. your name & contact tel number and credit card information, may be disclosed to our member accommodations for the purpose of securing a reservation into the third party property and may be used only for the purpose stipulated and is subject to strict terms of confidentiality.

Links to third-party Web sites may be provided solely for your information and convenience, or to provide additional information for various other goods and services. If you use these links, you will leave our Site. This Privacy Statement does not cover the information practices of those Web sites linked to our Site, nor do we control their content or privacy policies. USE OF COOKIES

The GlobeTek Select Inc. Companies use a browser feature called a "cookie" to collect information anonymously and track user patterns on GlobeTek Select Inc. websites. A cookie is a small text file that is placed on your hard disk by a website. TEN PRINCIPLES OF FAIR INFORMATION PRACTICES

  1. ACCOUNTABILITY Each GlobeTek Select Inc. Company is responsible for the personal information under its control and shall designate one or more individuals who shall be accountable for the company's compliance with the procedures and principles set out in the GlobeTek Select Inc. Privacy Policy.
